Even during these unprecedented times, my client a global leading financial services organisation is still very much “business as usual”. Withal their staff currently working from home and then working from home part-time, they are now seeking an Assistant Manager within Banking, Reconciliation and Control (BRC) division on a 12 month maternity contract This division is responsible for the receipt and payment of monies to / from investors / intermediaries and the reconciliation of cash and stock positions for their European based funds and Funds Network fund supermarket business. In addition, they also process of fund distributions, tax & interest accrual processing and various other control related activities for Business Operations. The Purpose of the role is to support the change agenda for BRC comprising of enhancements, Continuous Improvement ideas, Process improvements & regulatory changes. This will include: Understanding end to end customer journey, giving project requirements, completing impact analysis, completion of end to end testing and delivering operational readiness. During contingency situations wherein there are high volumes or thin resource layering within the BAU teams, you will also need to support BAU processing function, as well as ensuring the smooth functioning of the teams in scope and prepare them for present and future initiatives Working on various projects/ enhancements/ process improvements & regulatory changes within timelines. Understanding the impact on clients, operational teams and risk associated to every change and take decisions accordingly. Produce and work on relevant M.I reports and ensuring to publish the same in a timely manner. Gather requirements, execute testing in various environments, resolving defects etc Cross train team members and answer procedural questions – as Subject Matter Expert. Preparation and uploading the test scripts on JIRA. Executing/ tracking the execution of test scripts for the process enhancements. Awareness of current FCA CASS including awareness of TCF and seven customer principles. Ability to effectively identify and escalate any failure in the upstream/downstream processes effectively. Having a sound understanding of the potential risks within the process and controls around the same. Work for BAU teams during contingency situations. By virtue of having in-depth knowledge of the process / procedures / system, contributing to enhancements as the subject matter expert for BRC, you will ideally have a sound understanding of the systems used in reconciliations & settlements ( for example Autorek, JDE, Sonata, GFAS etc), together with knowledge of JIRA, scrums and testing cycles and strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
