Medway Norse is the strategic service partnership between Norse Group and Medway Council, delivering range of commercial expertise including building and facilities management. As one of our largest joint ventures, we deliver our services to a growing number of local residents, promoting commercial viability and exceptional customer service. We are currently looking to recruit into our senior management team and have a great opportunity for a Head of Hard FM Services to operate from our offices in Gillingham, Medway. This is a multi-faceted and challenging role where you will manage the planning and delivery of all planned and reactive maintenance across the partnership including mechanical and electrical systems and services. You will be managing a multi-disciplined team alongside the activity of sub-contractors when required and will be accountable for ensuring the work standard meets statutory and contractual compliance. As the head of service, you will support the management team with financial and budget control, finalising estimates for a range of work whilst ensuring the delivery of service in line with the department budget. Monitoring and maintaining high quality and compliant service delivery will be a key element to the role, and you will ensure this by reviewing and implementing process changes alongside conducting audit and compliance programs. Our Successful Candidate; It is essential for you to demonstrate industry knowledge across a number of key FM disciplines, ideally highlighted by professional qualifications and training including; 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations Qualification City & Guilds Heating and Ventilation (6188) Level 3 (or equivalent) Gas Safe Registered, Commercial BOHS P901 Legionella Management & Control Alongside this, you will need to have significant experience within a hard FM service delivery environment, managing multi-disciplined FM and building maintenance staff, including sub-contractors, with a bias within electrical systems. Your management skills will be complemented by your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. It will be important that you can demonstrate experience of implementing, monitoring and developing high levels of customer service through process improvement.
