Triangle Recruitment are looking to recruit a Stock Yard Supervisor, on a 12 week Temp to Perm basis, to Supervise the day to day running of the Stock/Yard & Quality Control process whilst ensuring that correct manning levels are maintained across all functions. Assist Stock & Yard Operations Manager in leading yard improvement initiatives. To cooperate with the management team in the development and implementation of the company Health and Safety policy procedures in order to achieve an excellent safety record with the aim of eliminating accidents and incidents. Main Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensure that all deliveries and customer collections are loaded safely, correctly and reconciled back to the loading ticket by carrying out random load checks on a daily basis. 2. Continual improvement of stock and yard processes and procedures (Risk Assessments and Safe Standard Operating Procedures). 3. Carry out a physical check of the quantity and condition of new product. 4. Ensure that the quarantine areas for reclaimed stock are emptied daily. 5. Identify, document, and report any quality problems to Production management team. 6. Reduce waste through Process Management and root cause analysis. 7. Maintain a well organised, effective and tidy yard. Challenge poor housekeeping at all times and continuously develops yard operative’s responsibility and ownership. 8. Carry out random Site Mobile Plant checks weekly across the entire operation; ensuring that pre-operational checks are being carried out, oil/water/coolant levels are correct. 9. Ensure all site mobile plant are in good running condition and report and monitor all faults 10. Support the achievement of Third Party Accreditation and certification to ISO 9001/BSI kite marks. 11. Maintain a safe work environment and follow all published/posted safety standards. 12. Deputise in respect of specific elements of the Stock and Yard Operations Work Experience Requirements: 1. Experience in similar supervisor level essential 2. Experience in creating and assessing risk assessments and SSOPs 3. Experience in lean manufacturing Other Requirements: Licences – Counter balance fork truck licence essential Language skills – English, fluent Strong IT skills – Word, Excel, Sage Line 500, JD Edwards Hours are 06:00 - 18:00 on a 4 On 4 Off Basis
