Initial three-month fixed term contract (may consider day rate) for a retail organisation within digital and technology - looking for a senior PMO practitioner with extension experience in portfolio mapping; reporting and a Lean-Agile PMO approach. Working for the head of department you'll be responsible for pulling together the portfolio plan to provide rich information for the senior executive team in the areas of RAG, progress, interdependencies and resource management. Key Tasks: Providing decision-support to enable prioritisation of current and new projects Establish the framework and process for assessing and comparing projects Utilising tools to enable strategic portfolio planning and analysis Developing the approach to categorising projects Instigating stakeholder management engagement and communications Driving the development of a high level portfolio plan Track and maintain dependencies across projects in the portfolio Assess benefits and value across a number of the projects Set up and track portfolio metrics Provide reports on portfolio status to senior executives - portfolio management dashboard. Key Experience: You'll have experience working in a hybrid delivery organisation - Waterfall and Agile - and able to provide data, information and insights from both types of delivery projects. It's a busy and lean environment with lots of stakeholder engagement across multiple departments and product lines. You'll have both the gravitas to engage senior management and the roll-up-the-sleeves to work the data and provide the insights. You'll have experience of different tools to pull together datasets and put in place a more robust and sustainable reporting process. Experience of tool evaluation will be a big bonus. You will have worked with multiple organisations in your recent (10 year) career history; be highly experienced at the portfolio level. This is a greenfield PMO which requires a leaner approach to match the faster-paced technology-based project and product implementation. Key Skills: Hands-on and advanced experience in portfolio level PMO Experienced in project and programme management approaches - including Agile. Track record of portfolio level PMO in a number of different organisations - ideally technology focused. Loves a challenge and thinks creatively about solutions Used to working in an environment with less structure - a more Lean approach required. Has a consultative approach - use and implement what works for the organisation - flex and adapt along the way. Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, proactice and pragmatic approach. Initially a three-month agreement, there is scope to extend based on performance and ongoing plans to install a permanent PMO structure. Our client is based in Woking but this is a remote working engagement
