Plumbing & Heating Counter Sales Assistant for Temperate Heating Ltd Independent Plumbing and Heating merchants.
Selling plumbing, heating and bathroom products to the trade and public.
Reporting to the Shop Manager, daily duties include but not exclusively, the following:
To provide our customers with a knowledgeable, friendly and dependable service whilst optimising branch sales.
Build effective working relationships with customers, in order to understand their requirements thus ensuring the correct products are supplied.
Ensure company policies are followed at all times when performing tasks and producing paperwork associated with sales.
Dealing with any queries.
Assisting in stock replenishment on the shop floor and within the stores.
Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store.
Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues.
Other sales related duties.
Ordering goods and efficient handling of returns to suppliers
Applicants are required to provide advice on a wide range of products so you must have a good knowledge of Plumbing and Heating Products.
Experience of working within a plumbing materials environment
Excellent understanding of plumbing and heating products
Excellent customer service
Good communication skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team and muck in with whatever needs doing
Able to work on own initiative
Ability to work under pressure
Good command of the English language (oral & and written) and mathematics
Excellent telephone manner
Previous experience in a similar industry/sector is desirable
This is a demanding job that involves manual handling, climbing stairs and standing
7.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday.
