Riverside have a number of new opportunities for Journey Coaches and Relief Workers in Ashford and Maidstone
Relief Workers (Bank staff) will work on a casual basis covering sickness and holidays.
Hourly rates from £9.49 up to £11.75 for the Journey Coach positions.
Who you’ll be helping
Riverside provides support and accommodation to vulnerable homeless adults aged 18 and over, with complex support needs, e.g., mental health, substance misuse, trauma, who are rough sleeping, homeless, at risk of homelessness or impacted by homelessness

What will you do?
The Journey Coach is responsible for the delivery of individual, positive outcome focused support packages to clients of Riverside’s supported schemes and ensuring that the support service promotes empowerment and independence. The emphasis will be on using coaching methods to empower clients on their resettlement journey.
Day to day
Your key responsibilities as a Journey Coach will include:
•Delivering a ‘best practice’ support service, appropriate to clients’ needs.
•Ensuring the delivery of individual personalised support packages, reflective of different client needs, including culture and diversity issues.
•Assisting clients with day-to-day tenancy issues, payment of rent, claiming benefits, preparing units to let.
•Knowledge of ‘best practice’ in both crisis intervention and planned support working.
•Undertaking referrals and assessments of potential clients, working with them to identify the most appropriate housing solution for their needs.

Does this describe you?
You will be positive, engaging and resilient with your approach, with the ability to deal with challenging situations at times
Experience of working with vulnerable client groups would be advantageous however this is not essential.
You will be able to demonstrate IT Skills to include a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel as well as a willingness to learn specific IT systems used within Riverside; and complete relevant IT training where required.
