The role will provide analysis, data and market insight to inform and enable commercial decision making, in particular Product Management / Development and Marketing activities for multiple global markets and segments. The role includes; Work with stakeholders to agree on the business intelligence needed to support strategic decision making Conduct valid and reliable market research utilising relevant tools and methodologies Analyse external and internal data using appropriate database and statistical analysis tools Provide market, customer, and competitor insights on regional and global trends, technologies, market sizing, and business risks Present insights in an impactful and engaging manner Advise on availability and potential value of external data sources, and collaborate internally and externally to research and collect relevant data Assess the suitability of existing research and data collection, analysis and storage methods in-line with business needs, and advise on how these can be developed cost-effectively. Stay up to date on developments and trends in data collection and evaluation methods and best practice, using insight to evolve the marketing analysis function Quality assurance of data and findings, ensuring compliance with governance protocols. Candidates will have experience in conducting market research and analytics within the technology or engineering sector, and presenting insight which has informed and steered commercial marketing and product activities. Understanding how to operate in a corporate business with complex commercial activities, multiple channels and segments, and presenting to stakeholders, is important. Previous involvement in optimising research tools and methods would be beneficial, as would exposure to international markets.
