Electrical Technician Kent (Isle of Grain) Permanent We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join a forward-thinking Global Organisation that provide innovative solutions across multiple industries. Employing over 17,000 people in 50 different countries. The Role: Reporting directly to the Plant Manager the Electrical Technician will be based at our facility in Kent. Ensuring the safe, reliable, legal and efficient operation of production plants. The Production facility consists of four air separation units producing liquid Nitrogen with a storage capacity for 5000 tonnes of liquid Nitrogen. Role Responsibilities: Inspecting / carrying out pre-planned maintenance on electrical and process equipment. Electrical fault-finding and repairs to site equipment. Electrical isolation and switching of electrical equipment at LV and HV up to 11kV Start-up and shutdown process plant and equipment, whilst optimising the site's operational capacity. Operate and control process equipment via DCS systems. Participate in the local on-call rota and respond out hours for emergencies and operational issues. Provide labour cover for intensive shutdown or restart activities Prepare isolations for maintenance activities and issue Permit-to Work documentation. Participate, contribute and ensure compliance with basic safety process policy Qualifications & Experience: HND in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or a recognised electrical apprenticeship qualification Previous Electrical Site Operations experience gained within Oil & Gas, Chemical, Gas processing or similar Authorisation of switching electrical equipment at LV and HV up to 11kV. Good knowledge of industrial plant and process control systems. Experienced in reading electrical drawings, Schematics, Electrical Single Line diagrams and P&IDs A flexible approach to working as continuously operating plants may require out of hours support on occasions.
