Reporting to the Financial Controller of this expanding services group near Maidstone, a part-qualified, and experienced Management Accountant is required to undertake the following duties: Duties · Preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliations -ensuring prepayments and accruals are correctly stated · Updating and reconciling Fixed Assets records. · Liaising with Budget Holders to assist them on an as needed basis. · Preparation of VAT returns and other Government Forms (as required). · Assist with preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts. · Assist with annual budgeting process and reforecasts as necessary. · Debt Collection · Recommending improvements in the Group’s financial processes and procedures. · Ad hoc account analysis and support as necessary. · Assist external auditor with year-end query · Preparation of Sales Invoices with assistance of Informatics Team. · Processing sales invoices and journal entries as necessary. · Processing Accounts Payable as needed. · Reviewing Bank Reconciliations. This role is a very hands on role and will require the person to be willing and able to participate in the daily functions of a growing finance department but is also to be experienced enough to take responsibility for their work without close supervision. It is thought candidates should have 3 to 5 years experience and be willing to complete their studies in due course. Study support will be provided by the company. Due to the client's semi rural location you should have access to a vehicle to make the daily journey.
