Pharmacy Technician (Part Time or Full Time)

This is an excellent opportunity for qualified Pharmacy technician join our dynamic, friendly community Pharmacy team.

Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Technician, professionalism, accuracy, good documentation, attention to detail and care for patients are what this role is all about.

We are looking for a personable, energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and versatile Technician with excellent communication and organisational skills.

Duties will include:

  • Assisting the Pharmacist in safe & effective running of the dispensary
  • Complying with legal and professional requirements
  • Responsibility for safe & ethical decision-making in the pharmacy
  • Delivering efficient dispensary operations and minimising losses
  • Ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing & checking prescriptions.
  • Use the electronic prescribing system to dispense medication
  • Maintenance of stock including placing ordering for medicines
  • Seeking opportunities to secure commissioned services
  • Effective communication with customers on healthcare matters
  • Coaching other pharmacy team members

Experience working in a pharmacy either in the community or hospital is essential. You will be an expert in the technical aspects of the supply of medicines, whilst delivering excellent patient care.

You will be a professionally qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and practice CPD.

Pharmacy Accuracy Checker (Part Time or Full Time)

Another opportunity has arisen for a qualified Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician to join our developing team of pharmacy staff.

As a senior member of the team, you will be the trusted hand for ensuring compliance with legal and professional requirements, improved medicines management, efficiency gains through effective dispensary organization and short throughput time for all our patients.

Duties will include, Dispensing, Accuracy Checking, Stock Control/ Ordering, and Supply of medicines.

Qualification requirements : BTEC in Pharmaceutical science, S / NVQ 3 in Pharmacy services or equivalent and a Accredited Accuracy Checking qualification or equivalent.

You would have demonstrable ability to multi task and organise work. In addition to being approachable, you will also be ready to welcome our patients who visit the pharmacy, with a smile.

In addition to serving customers, you will also be assisting with working on the shop floor, ensuring in date medicines are displayed and that all GSLs and P medicines remained stocked, are in the right place and remain presentable to customers.

The right applicant will ideally be able to demonstrate the essential knowledge and experience of working in a hospital, retail pharmacy or supermarket pharmacy environment.

You must be able to give trusted advice to patients on over-the-counter medication and know when to consult with the pharmacist.

Excellent working knowledge of Proscript PMR is plus.
