Senior Port Health Administration Officer (Port & Public Protection)
£23,305 to £32,190 per annum
Full or part time - Permanent
It’s an exciting time to be joining Dover District Council as we expand our Dover Port Health Authority (DPHA) service.
The work of the DPHA is vital to the smooth running of the border at Dover, and to the protection of food safety and public health in the UK.
We ensure the smooth flow of safe food through Europe’s busiest ferry port - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - and onto the shelves of shops and supermarkets across the country.
And you could play a key role in shaping this expanded operation!
We are looking for experienced Senior Administration Officers who will manage the administration teams supporting all aspects of enforcement of legal requirements in relation to animal and public health legislation in the Port in addition to administering Agents’ and Importers’ accounts relating to standard and specific charges at import.
You will be the first point of contact for the facility and deal with many internal and externalqueries so excellent communication and customer service skills are a must.
This shift based role is office based, however, in the current pandemic environment you maybe required to work 37 hours a week from home initially until July.
Previous experience of operational shift management within a compliance or regulatory area would be an advantage.
