Engineering Manager - Faversham, Kent Salary: Competitive Salary and Benefits The Company Our client is a privately owned business specialising in the supply of construction materials and services. The business have enjoyed continued growth over the years and have attained a reputation for excellence. Due to growth they are looking to hire a Group Engineering Manager, offering superb development opportunities and real job satisfaction. The Role This role will be responsible for attainment of the Company’s published development and operational objectives across the Group by management of the major projects as directed by the business directors. You will deliver the portfolio of projects within the agreed H&S, cost, time and quality parameters. Role Responsibilities: Manage the Engineering, Surveying and Drawing services for the business for the control of company assets. Project Management and Project Delivery for the Operational Businesses in line with company objectives. Ensure designated Projects are undertaken strictly in accordance with company QHEST procedures. Ensure designated Projects are undertaken in accordance with all relevant H&S Legislation. Particularly acting as Client under the CDM Regulations but encompassing all applicable elements of legislation affecting the project. To effectively monitor, manage, control and report on Capital spend for all designated projects. Ensure that designated project spend is within agreed company authorisation limits. Ensure that designated projects are undertaken in accordance with the requisite licences, permits, consents and other legal requirements. Accurately report on progress and development of the designated projects to key stakeholders. Line Management of direct reports in accordance with Company procedures. Essential Skills & Requirements: Degree/Masters qualifications in Civil Engineering preferably with Chartered Status. NEBOSH General and preferably NEBOSH Construction Certificates. Extensive Project Management experience and preferably APM qualifications. Extensive Project Delivery experience in quarrying/landfill or similar field. Good Contract knowledge Good knowledge of Environmental Permitting and Planning requirements. Process Plant delivery background desirable.
