Sales & Marketing Manager -EMEA Oil Field Technology & Lubricants Homebased Job Ref: EG/53635 The Client: A speciality chemicals and high performance materials manufacturer that is committed to improving the world through innovation. The business develops and creates new products that solve emerging challenges, created by business climate and customer need. These products are used in a variety of demanding applications, including plastic processing, automotive, oil exploration, bio fractions and technical textiles. This role will focus on two specific areas - you will be providing chemical solutions to meet the growing demands of both the EMEA oilfield and metalworking industries. Position Purpose: As the EMEA sales and marketing manager, you will be responsible for helping to define and execute a regional business strategy that will ensure the achievement of the annual business plan. You will work in coordination with a global sales team, as well with the business development and technology teams, to assure a robust and healthy business project pipeline. Furthermore, increase the value delivered to customers through products, services, and relationships by listening to the customers’ needs and communicating them back to internal stakeholders (technical, operations, customer service, management) driving the business to continuously improve its offerings and increase its value. · Effective execution of the process of value-based selling, including: - Delivering & selling current products as well as introducing new products. - Effective margin management and volume growth. - Ability to interact, build relationships and represent the business with both large and small global customers. · Develop a demonstrable understanding of customers’ processes, the oilfield and metalworking fluid market, as well as competitors’ product portfolio and strategies. · Understand and manage the short- & long-term issues created by the ever-changing competitive landscape and dynamic oilfield and lubricant markets, recommending actions to mitigate business impact where required. · Work with regional and global support functions to ensure that your regional customer needs are met. · Participate in quarterly business meetings with the business as well as support functions to gain alignment and accountability on key actions. · Represent the Oilfield and Lubricant business in the Regional S&OP for forecasting and inventory management. · Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to ensure customer service and product performance. · Develop and enhance customer relationships to maximize commercial growth · You will work with the global business manager to set regional pricing strategy · Travel will include mainland Europe as well as Middle East · Routine reporting, using modern CRM tools, i.e. Salesforce The Person: · University bachelor’s degree in a science discipline · At least 5 -years of experience in commercial sales, marketing or business development in the greater chemicals space. A plus if you have lubricants or oilfield experience · Prior experience negotiating pricing, customer agreements · Proficiency in developing, communicating, and executing with a team on a business strategy and execution · Business acumen and superior negotiation skills · Ability to work across regions with Internal employees, as well as customers · Located in UK or Germany preferred · Values consistent with those of the business.
