Commercial Surveyor - Land & New Homes Basic Salary circa &163;50,000 Car Allowance On Target Earnings circa &163;60,000 - &163;80,000&43; Our clients, a privately owned and established business with strong growth plans, are seeking an experienced Commercial Surveyor to play a key role in building our new and exciting growing team providing a broad range of commercial property services to our clients, including developers, investors and owner occupiers. You will be able to provide expert professional commercial property advice to our clients, cementing our reputation in the market as trusted advisors. Commercial Surveyor - Land & New Homes - The Right Candidate: The successful individual will need to demonstrate specialist capabilities in one or more service lines including valuation, landlord & tenant, agency, property management, development, asset management, business rates and compulsory purchase and compensation. You will be able to provide advice on national trends and local market forces across a range of key sectors including office, retail, industrial, logistics, residential / private rented, land, new homes evaluation and also leisure, hospitality, healthcare, student housing and hotel sectors. You will be able to successfully undertake prospecting, touting and promotional activities to secure new instructions from our existing client base and to bring new clients to the business. Commercial Surveyor - Land & New Homes - Responsibilities and Duties: Caseload Management Commercial Property Advice Implementation of Best Practice Teamwork Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Business Development Compliance Commercial Surveyor - Land & New Homes - Qualification Criteria: Required experience Proven experience undertaking commercial property work within a consultancy practice or client side. Track record in a customer facing role, providing trusted advice and building and maintaining relationships. Extensive knowledge of the commercial property market in the UK together with regional and local insights. Developed specialist competence in one or more of the RICS Qualifications. Working knowledge of some of the key pieces of property legislation including for example, Landlord & Tenant Act 1954, codes of practice such as the RICS Code of Measuring Practice and the Red Book and relevant case law in your area of specialism. Property valuation knowledge and skills. Ability to assimilate information and make sound commercial judgements. Demonstrable negotiation skills and experience. Computer literate, intermediate skills with Microsoft Office. Desired experience Experience in a competitive fee earning environment. Established client base and contact network from which to source instructions. Education level / Qualifications: As a minimum you will be MRICS / FRICS / AssocRICS. You may also be a RICS Registered Valuer. Working knowledge of property software and applications e.g. for property management, valuation, agency or other tools, e.g. EGi and CoStar for gathering comparable evidence. Social media savvy.
