Interim Finance Manager | £50,000 - £60,000 | Tilmanstone, Kent The Opportunity Large scale, highly innovative and hugely successful FMCG Food Group have an immediate requirement for a commercially astute Finance Manager for a 6 month initial fixed term contract at a key subsidiary based in Kent. You will lead the management accounts team of 3, closely supporting the Head of Finance, at a large and expanding site, playing a vital role as the key finance business partner to the operational and commercial management teams / cost centre managers. The role is highly visible, you will be an influential partner to the non-finance teams and provide real time, accessible financial reporting, and management information to a broad audience across the production facility. This is a business that relies on accurate and commercially focused financial reporting and P&L analysis on a weekly basis. You will enjoy working in a continuous improvement environment with plenty of project involvement alongside the business as usual aspects of the remit. You will have a confident leadership style when managing others and take enjoyment in supporting and encouraging the development of your team. This is a very hands on role and it would suit someone who loves rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into the reporting. The remit will include management accounting / daily and weekly reporting and reviews, budgeting, forecasting, product costing, variance analysis, KPI reporting. Ultimately you play a key role in understanding the numbers and shining a true light on the financial performance of the manufacturing site. You will enjoy The keys to success surround providing a clear bridge between the budget holders and the Head of finance. You will ensure that variances are well understood, and commentary is succinct, relevant, and meaningful. You will use your business acumen and understanding of a manufacturing environment to provide suggestions surrounding cost control, margin protection, process efficiency etc. You need to be comfortable drilling down into reporting to understand the numbers. This is a business in good shape, and you will enjoy working with talented colleagues all striving to make processes and methods slicker. The initial contract is 6 months (due to secondment) however there is potential for it to become permanent. You will need Previous experience of FP&A / financial management / financial business partnering / operational accounting in a manufacturing environment ideally. A strong track record of producing detailed and meaningful management accounts to tight deadline. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a broad mix of stakeholders. A track record of making change and challenging the business to continuously improve. Ability to lead and mentor a small team. CIMA or equivalent. A great attitude This is a cohesive and vibrant team and you will be someone who will enthusiastically contribute. You will be someone who enjoys picking up new tasks and has ideally had a proven track record of success in similar interim contracts (6 – 12 months).
