Poised for further growth, and investment, we are now seeking to recruit a Materal Handler who will help deliver unrivalled levels of excellence. The successful applicant will be responsible for the control of material across all feeder cells, including receiving goods, control and maintenance of stock plus the issuing and returning to/from production. Key Responsibilities include: Stores:- Printing of job tickets and issuing material using company bespoke software. Ensure regular checks to verify stock levels for re-ordering are accurate and appropriate. To take delivery of goods delivered into machine shop stores, with the use of forklifts where required. Support delivery for other feeder cells as required Ensure that goods are checked off in an accurate and timely manner, checking for damages and quantity. Update computer system to enable accurate stock levels. Put materials away in stores after deliveries ensuring batches are segregated, managed, controlled. Also ensure batch tracibility throughout the feeder cells of all materials. To get materials out ready for use in the machine shop and issue to the correct jobs, using the IT equipment provided. Issue materials to line side as per production plan and transact the returns back to stock Assist with stock checks when required. Keep stores clean and tidy, maintain a high level of safety within the area, escalate any concerns and assist with improvements Yard and Scrap Skips:- Keep area outside the feeder cell areas (goods-in bays) and scrap areas clean and tidy. Manage and empty the swarf bins in the machine shop, ensuring that materials are correctly disposed of in the appropriate skips to maximise recycling possibilities. Ensure the removal of used oils and coolants from site Notify Skip Company when skips require emptying. Maintain Metal Stores security (keep doors locked) Other Tasks:- To unlock / lock up the stores area as required. You may be required to work alternative hours when circumstances dictate. To participate in continuous improvement activities. Ensure that all tasks comply with policy and procedure and legislation and regulatory requirements. You may be required to perform other duties from time to time.
