                    Librarian and Literacy Leader (LLL)

Salary: TDET Band 6, point 17-20 (depending on experience) £17,287 to £18,962 per annum (pro rata to £20,893 to £22,918 for a full-time equivalent post) . Term-time only, 30-37 hours per week (above salary calculated on a 37 hour week basis).

  • The LLL is responsible for the smooth running of the School Library; acquiring, organising, managing and distributing library resources and ensuring that the library provision meets the needs of all its users.
  • The LLL is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Library, leading Library initiatives throughout the school and managing a Student-Librarian team.
  • The LLL will also coordinate the Key Stage 3 Accelerated Reader scheme and support the students and staff in the success of this programme. 
  • They will be an integral part of the English Department’s design and delivery of literacy learning at Key Stage 3 and beyond.
  • The LLL will coordinate the Literacy TA team and deliver Literacy support activities to students, both in and outside timetabled lessons.
  • The Librarian will work closely with the Head of Key Stage 3 English and report regularly to the Head of English.
