Procurement Manager Salary Banding: £35,000 - £38,000 Hours: FT 37.5 hours Monday- Friday Location: Remote working - travel to Rushden office in Northamptonshire when needed. Purpose of Role: As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Procurement in preparation and delivery of the procurement roadmap and wider business strategy. This will include tendering activity, leveraging and maximizing current contracts alongside identifying new opportunities and propositions from suppliers to maximize business performance through a category management approach. Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Support the Head of Procurement on leadership of all procurement activity across the business. Development and delivery of the Procurement Roadmap underpinning our mission in motion. Tracking and reporting on the progress of the procurement roadmap. Liaise with operational and support staff to determine their product and service needs Monitor business trends and product availability to assure cost control for goods and services without sacrificing quality or delivery times Develop and implement strategies for procuring and distribution of key products and services in support of centralised supply Conduct tenders alongside relevant stakeholders, producing analysis of total cost of goods and services to identify savings and efficiencies with a clear business cases for change. Develop strong and transparent relationships with suppliers to negotiate value add propositions in support of growth and acquisition. Monitor supplier performance and mange to terms of contracts in place Identify and research potential new suppliers and products Mitigate risk in the supply chain by ensuring the correct due diligence on suppliers at entry level Support on maintenance and training of Procure to Pay Re-enforce policies and procedures across the business Provide leadership to the business on all procurement related activity Work with finance to resolve supplier payment issues, maintain costs, highlight savings and mitigate cost where possible. ` Responsible for: Tendering, negotiation and supplier performance to contracts Savings and efficiencies Supplier management Cost Control Policies and procedures Procure to Pay maintenance and control Essential Experience: Proven working experience as a Procurement Manager Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market Talent in negotiations and networking Good knowledge of supplier or third party management software Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers Experience in collecting and analysing data Strong leadership capabilities Experience Desirable: - Supply chain/procurement experience in a medium to large sized business Qualifications - A level - CIPS/Degree level in supply chain management or business administration Personal attributes - Excellent influencer, change-maker and effective communicator (oral and in writing) - Highly motivated and driven, achieving positive impact and meeting deadlines - Ability to build trust and develop cohesive teams – strong empathy, clear expectations and fair-minded - High energy and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - calm approach and ‘can-do’ attitude - Encourages colleagues to realise their potential and empowers high performers - Able to use data and numerical detail effectively to inform strategy, measure impact and drive quality
