As part of our strategic development plan, Expleo are looking for Domain Expert (Electrification) to join us on a permanent basis. The salary is negotiable and will be dependant on experience and skill level. With regards to location, the role could be based at any of our offices in the UK, or in any of our other offices throughout Europe. Purpose of the Role The position of Domain Expert Electrification is suited to Mechanical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineers who have experience of working in a dynamic multi-disciplinary environment on a diverse range of engineering programmes. The Domain expert provides technical leadership using their technical knowledge to generate competitive proposals that meet clients programme needs. The Domain expert will work with the Chief Engineer and Capability Managers supports business growth through the development of client opportunities expansion of capability into emerging technologies and efficiency improvements of internal processes. A key responsibility is the identification and development of new opportunities and technologies that will be critical for the business in the short and long term. Key Tasks/Responsibilities Act as the domain expert within Expleo group create Expleo group technical strategy within this domain ability to identify critical technologies to support the company growth and lead the investment and introduction of this capability within the Expleo group Effective written and verbal communication of solutions to both teams and clients. Experienced in the management of project content quality resourcing risk and commercial delivery including negotiation of scope variation with clients. Ability to fully capture project requirements and generate bids / proposals that identify the key customer needs. The ability to pro-actively contribute to business growth develop client relationships and have a commercial awareness that supports business strategy. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate an appetite for challenge and be adaptable to the needs of the business and our customers in order to contribute to successful growth. Qualifications/Experience Qualified to Degree level with significant experience in a technical role leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams that develop concepts through to manufacturing definition. Experience in Design and analysis of electro-mechanical systems: specialising in electrification including electrical machine design and analysis electromechanical system integration and control. Experience with new Product Introduction for Aerospace electrification. Design hybrid and electric-powered products and integrate associated systems and components. Design and integrate systems/components into hybrid and electric- equipment Develop and utilise new energy sources (i.e. Lithium battery Zinc-air etc.) Experience with Matlab/Simulink simulation software FEA (electromagnetic or thermal flow analysis Flow Tran etc.) and Lab view programming a plus. Demonstrated competence in the electrification and hybridization. Experience of designing system architecture with an embedded systems approach. Proven technical understanding of Electric Vehicle (EV) powertrains including e-motor power electronics and AC/DC power conversion theory. Recognition within EV field as a technical expert with proven experience
