Employer Description

Rural GP Practice providing healthcare to over 14,500 patients in Tenterden and the surrounding areas. Services provided include GP, nursing and treatment room clinics.

Description of Vacancy

A variety of patient facing and administrative tasks involving patient and colleague interactions on a daily basis. Providing customer service to our patients ensuring queries and requests are dealt with in an appropriate manner, whilst following the patient pathway behind the scenes to gain a full understanding and awareness of the whole system.

Actioning Doctors requests.

Dealing with patients by phone or face to face.

Reception duties and dealing with patients when required.

Filing/note pulling.

Generating letters and forms.

Appointment booking.

Register new temporary and permanent patients to the practice and deal with associated documentation with the regulatory authorities.

Patient record summarising/scanning.

Other duties as required.

Wage

£161.25 per week.

Hours

37.5 hours per week (Full Time).

2 x 15 minute breaks (am & pm) daily.

1 hour lunch.

20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as “Off the Job Training”

Qualifications Required

9-4/A*–C GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice’s skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
