Employer Description

We are a small but successful company supplying conventional and sustainable coffee from over 20 origins to a diverse customer base in 25 markets on 5 continents.

Travel Information

Office is in central Sevenoaks and accessible by bus or train. Staff parking available.

Description of vacancy

As part of the Coffee team, you’ll be responsible for delivering efficient administration support and excellent customer service by managing and monitoring all incoming and outgoing green coffee samples to customers. You will be dealing with suppliers and customers both face to face, on the phones and via email.

Sending and receiving of coffee samples:

  • Recording on in-house system
  • Monitoring results
  • Sending approvals/rejections.
  • Despatching offer samples
  • Various recording methods, trackers and spreadsheets                                               


  • Roasting on a sample roaster for cupping and for despatching to clients


  • Preparing coffees for cupping
  • Tasting and noting profiles
  • Recording of results

Sample lab:

  • Arranging and filing of samples
  • Re-organising to free up space for new samples
  • Ordering of landed samples for traders/marketing

GCSE Grade 4 a minimum in English and Maths

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – Customer Services Practitioner Level 2 Standard will establish an Apprentice’s skills to deliver high quality service to customers both internally and externally. The Apprenticeship will incorporate knowledge of customers and the customer experience, understanding the organisation, its products/services and their role and responsibilities.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.

Important Information
