Digital Marketing Manager
The company is preparing to move into its new, bespoke, state of the art creative complex in Ashford in Spring 2022. At this exciting time of significant expansion, we are recruiting a new role; Digital Marketing Manager, to lead on our public facing digital platforms.

Job Title: Digital Marketing Manager
Salary: £25,000 PAYE (pro rata) basis with review after 12 months
Contract: Permanent Part-time
Reports to: Head of Communications
Office Based: Ashford Kent, with flexibility for some remote working.        Hours of Work: 24 hours per week
Notice period: 3 months following successful probationary period of 6 months
Annual Leave: 22 days per year pro rata plus statutory bank holidays. The company usually closes over the Christmas period, which is offered in addition to the annual holiday entitlement.   

Pension: Pension contributions currently 5% employee and 3% employer. This will increase as per government guidelines. Overtime: This role is not eligible for overtime payments, although time off in lieu is offered (agreed in advance)
Job Description
Objectives

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will lead the development and implementation of the social media strategy, ensuring alignment with the overall brand and communications strategies, providing a consistent and compelling message. This role is expected to increase the number of people who engage with the company, creating conversations around JVC productions, education programmes and community activities. The ideal candidate should have a passion for social media, and a commitment to find new ways to grow and develop audiences, participants, and visitors with the aim of extending the reach of the JVC profile, productions and community activities. The Digital Content Manager will need to be an excellent creative thinker and have a strong analytical approach.

Key Responsibilities
● Reporting to the Head of Communications, be responsible for developing the social media and website content strategy, with a strong focus on Instagram, but also to increase engagement on other digital platforms.

● Plan and manage the social schedule, liaising with other colleagues in the team to identify which communication channels will best promote content and campaigns. Devise paid social media campaigns and utilise paid search marketing accordingly. 

● Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily such as original written text, photos, videos and news items across all platforms. Re-purposing existing video content for relevant features, where possible.

● Manage live streaming, live tweeting and other major event strategies.

● Manage the new company website, using CMS, writing copy, sourcing imagery and advising on and implementing best Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) practice. Metadata management, new content accessibility standards, GDPR, as well as Equality Diversity and Inclusion requirements must all be included in website content.

● Manage all online listings for company activities including the learning programme, public classes, community projects, opportunities, events, and venue hire.

● Manage the online community, replying to customer enquiries both in the UK and internationally, during evenings and weekends where necessary, including managing our presence & engagement in social forums and groups.

● Bring new ideas and ways of developing our social media accounts and build innovative partnerships to extend reach and depth of digital engagement.

● Monitor SEO and website traffic metrics (including Google Analytics), with a strong understanding of data analytics to inform our future approaches.

● Create monthly website and social media reports with relevant metrics, tracking and analytics to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of our engagement and social media campaigns to shape future activity, both organic and paid.

● Continuously monitor performance and measurement, suggesting solutions and ensuring content and campaigns at least meet or exceed KPI metrics.

● Utilise Google for Not Profits to best effect, advising on relevant campaigns and seeking out other promotional opportunities in the arts and not for profit sector.

● Stay ahead of trends, keeping an eye on our competitors and determining how and where we need to increase our presence.

● Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness and engagement, including promotions, competitions, take-overs.

● Keep up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media updates & tools.

● Manage a digital shop on our web-site and other platforms. Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

● Demonstrable experience of managing social media campaigns (both organic and paid) and growing professional social media accounts through day-to-day strategic management.

● Expert knowledge of social media tools and technologies.

● Significant experience of creating and reporting metrics, based on defined goals and analytics, and ability to quickly show the impact of different content and social activity, including measuring ROI.

● Knowledge and understanding of audience segmentation and targeting.

● Strong focus on KPIs - which KPIs are meaningful and how to achieve them. ● Experience using CMS (Wordpress or similar)
● An understanding of creative storytelling and adapting content for different channels with a high level of attention to detail and presentation, copy-writing and proof-reading.

● Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise workload and remain composed under pressure.

● Excellent communication skills and be able to express the company’s views creatively. Desirable Skills Knowledge and Experience
