Domiciliary Care Services Manager

A manager is required for a small, well-established not for profit service supporting one individual with autism spectrum conditions and severe learning difficulties.

This position will be regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the successful applicant is required to demonstrate that they are of suitable character and either have or are willing to complete the required training and acquire the appropriate skills and qualifications for care and leadership.

There will be a developing and growing role to play; therefore this is also a commissioning role. At first the successful applicant would need to be self employed as there is currently no PAYE system in place. However, the establishment of a PAYE system will be an early responsibility of our new manager.

Other responsibilities include the evolution of our current business status to a more appropriate and up-to-date model, development and maintenance of CQC compliant policies and procedures, staff recruitment and supervision and service representation with the statutory, voluntary and private sector for the purposes of service development.

We are looking for a dynamic forward facing visionary individual with a passionate belief in care in and of the community, for an individual who will honour, maintain and advance our mission statement and service philosophy, whilst placing their own mark on how the service develops.

No previous experience, skills or qualifications are strictly necessary as full training can be enabled. A caring nature, calm personality and a call to interdependence is more relevant than previous experience or paper qualifications.

Part office based / part based remotely. This role is flexible for the right candidate.

Initial pay and conditions are dependent on qualifications and experience and on the amount of further educational development needed. However, any successful applicant will receive more than the minimum wage. Those who come with greater experience or who complete our in-service training requirements can expect an enhanced salary and career path.
