Responsible to: Chef Manager

Job Overview

We seek an individual to join a small and friendly kitchen brigade preparing and serving lunch to 290 boys and 60 staff daily.  In addition, take sole responsibility for preparing food and cooking supper for up 20 boarders twice per week.


Salary and
Benefits

Salary: £12.47 per hour
Hours: 8.30am to 3pm 3 days per week and 10.30am to 7pm 2 days per week.
Pension: Defined Contribution Scheme for support staff.

The school will contribute 9%. The employee contribution is a minimum of 3%.

Lunch is not a contractual benefit but is provided daily during term time, free of charge.
Holidays: 20 days per year (pro rata) + bank holidays to be taken during school holidays

Duties and
Responsibilities:

 Prepare and serve lunch to 290 boys and 60 staff daily
 Cook supper for about 20 boys 2 nights per week
 Overtime is available for various small school functions

Keys Skills and Knowledge:

 At least a years’ experience of working in a kitchen and basic food knowledge are essential.
 Experience of working in a School is desirable although not essential.
