Role: Commercial Sprinkler Designer

KHR have partnered with an industry leader who are currently recruiting for a Commercial Sprinkler Designer to join their team at a time of huge growth.

As a Commercial Sprinkler Designer, you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and implementing fire protection systems for commercial and residential sites. Your expertise in LPCB standards will be instrumental in ensuring the highest level of safety and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilise LPCB guidelines and industry best practices to design effective and efficient fire protection systems for commercial and industrial spaces.
- Create detailed sprinkler system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and specifications tailored to project requirements.
- Stay abreast of local and international fire safety codes, regulations, and LPCB standards to ensure all designs adhere to the latest industry requirements.
- Collaborate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary approvals and permits for the installation of fire protection systems.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate sprinkler systems seamlessly into building designs.
- Provide clear and concise communication regarding design concepts, requirements, and technical specifications to project teams and clients.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential fire hazards and develop appropriate fire protection strategies.
- Propose innovative solutions to mitigate risks and enhance overall safety.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Collaborate with project managers to coordinate the installation of sprinkler systems, providing technical support as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure that installed systems meet design specifications and LPCB standards.
- Implement corrective measures as necessary to address any deviations from approved designs.

The Ideal Candidate:
- The candidate must come from a similar background.
- LCPB Level 3 Certification or equivalent
- Demonstrating advanced knowledge in sprinkler system design.
- Proven experience in commercial sprinkler system design, with a strong portfolio of successfully completed projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and hydraulic calculation software.
- Excellent knowledge of fire protection codes, standards, and regulations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, (Ideal)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in design and documentation.
