We are looking for compassionate and responsible individuals to join our established and hard-working Community Warden Service who have been making a difference to residents and communities for nearly 20 years. We have a number of Community Warden vacancies within the following Districts: Dartford, Gravesham, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge & Malling and Maidstone.
In addition to the base salary, we can pay up to £2000 annual market premium payments, subject to eligibility.
You will work closely with other KCC services, Kent Police, Parish Councils, and local authority departments to resolve issues and engage with the communities in which you are deployed. You will work across the four key objectives for the service:
• Strengthening community resilience to ensure ‘Stronger, Safer Communities’.
• Supporting the elderly and vulnerable.
• Fostering community cohesion and wellbeing.
• Assisting residents to navigate public services.
The Kent Community Warden Service is a proactive and visible service working within communities, you will therefore be required to wear a uniform.
You will receive training to an accredited standard.
This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service and Level 2 Police Vetting.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
