Events Manager (Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking a professional Events Manager with substantial experience of delivering and managing events and activities in a similar environment. The successful candidate will
demonstrate a passion for dealing with people and events. The Events Manager will have strong commercial acumen and a successful track record of developing strategies and
driving sustained financial growth as well as being a confident people manager. The role is part of the Operations Department reporting to the Head of Operations, the
Events Manager will manage the Events Officer and the team of casual Events Assistants. The post-holder will work closely with the Events Officer, Vergers, and other Cathedral
colleagues to ensure that events, activities, and special services are properly planned, resourced and are effectively delivered. The role requires an organised, and meticulous
person to consistently exceed visitor expectations and motivate the team to do the same. The role is a two-year fixed term contract.

Hours of work
The role requires some out of hours working, including evening, weekend and bank holidays so flexibility on the hours is required. Standard hours of work are 35 hours 
per week Monday - Friday

Salary
The salary is £ £27,618 per annum.

Annual Leave
The holiday entitlement is 33 days for full time employees, which includes the 8 public holidays. This is pro-rata for part-time hours. The leave year begins on 
1st September -31st August.
