We are seeking to appoint a candidate with a strong understanding of governance and excellent organisational and
In this role you will play a key part in our Trust central team and have the opportunity to make a positive difference
to the governance of all our schools across North Kent and Medway, supporting the education of almost 5000 pupils.
The Head of Governance will work proactively with our Board of Trustees and Local Governing Boards (LGBs) by
managing administrative duties and providing organisational support. He or she will ensure compliance with legal
and regulatory frameworks, advising on procedural matters in relation to all levels of governance within the Trust.
He or she will contribute to, and influence, the effectiveness of the Trust by keeping abreast of national and local
initiatives, and developments in governance. The Head of Governance will also lead and manage the Trust clerking
service which supports our LGBs.
Proven experience of work in clerking or governance is essential, with the ability to deliver consistently a high level
of service in a timely manner.
