Job Description

Experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driver with removals experience preferred

  • UK drivers licence (required)
  • HGV Licence (required)
  • Removals: 3 years (required)

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Safely drive HGV Class 1 vehicles for removals, ensuring timely and secure transport of clients' belongings.
    • Load, unload, and deliver goods to various locations, adhering to health and safety regulations.
    • Plan and execute routes efficiently while ensuring compliance with driving regulations.
    • Oversee the packing and unpacking process, ensuring the protection of clients' possessions.
    • Carry out vehicle checks and maintenance, reporting any issues promptly.
    • Communicate effectively with the operations team and clients to ensure a smooth moving process.
    • Uphold good customer service values, liaison with day-to-day issues and handling customers queries.
    • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.

    Requirements:

    • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
    • Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
    • Proven experience in the removals industry, with strong manual handling skills.
    • Good knowledge of driving laws and regulations.
    • Strong customer service and communication skills.
    • Physically fit and capable of handling heavy items.
    • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
    • Valid passport.
    • Experience in international removals, ideally experience driving in Europe with nights away.

    • Good communication skills to effectively communicate with suppliers and customers regarding delivery times.

    • Patience and ability to work well under pressure.
