About The Role

East Kent Colleges Group are looking for a Learning and Skills Coach to join EKC Folkestone College.
 
As a learning and skills coach you will plan and deliver small group and 1:1 sessions, providing support to learners to maximise their development and build independence for their future careers.
  
What does a typical day look like?
  • Supporting learners in a wide rage of activities including digital, study, maths and English skills. 
  • Provide 1:1 or group support to learners
  • Plan and organise small group sessions
  • Organise and lead teaching activities
This role will be instrumental in supporting learners to gain wider skills ready for the workplace. You will use appropriate tools, processes, and systems to identify students' skills needs and plan effective strategies to support skills development.

About You

You will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan engaging and innovative sessions with demonstrated interpersonal skills. You will assess and track learners progress ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

Ideally you will have vocational experience and be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic and pastoral support
