Are you ready to empower learners and make a real impact in the world of engineering and construction? We're looking for a highly organised, creative, and passionate individual who brings energy and creativity to a fast-paced classroom
As a Lecturer, you’ll be at the heart of delivering engaging, innovative lessons that bring industry knowledge to life. Your ability to build connections, track student progress, and support individual development will be key to ensuring every learner achieves their full potential.
What you’ll bring:
-
A creative approach to teaching, with the ability to plan and deliver exciting, hands-on lessons
-
Excellent interpersonal and class management skills
-
A sharp eye for detail when assessing, tracking, and planning interventions to support student success
-
A positive, empathetic attitude and a commitment to inclusive learning
Ideally, you will also have:
-
Experience in teaching or delivering training in the workplace (though this isn’t essential — we offer full training and support for the right candidate!)
-
Confidence to work across a range of study programmes and levels, from Level 1 to Level 3
Your teaching focus will include:
-
Engineering, Carpentry, and the Built Environment
-
Working with both 16–18-year-old students and our Junior College learners as part of our new Engineering provision
-
Collaborating with the Engineering and Technical Industries team, with potential to support Carpentry or Multi-Trades teaching
At EKC Sheppey College, you’ll be part of a supportive team committed to high-quality education, industry relevance, and student success. Whether you’re an experienced educator or a skilled industry professional ready to transition into teaching — we’d love to hear from you.
