Job Description

Are you a passionate Politics Teacher with a flair for inspiring young minds? We are seeking a dedicated Politics Teacher to join an esteemed Independent School in the Folkestone area. This part-time role focuses on delivering high-quality teaching to Key Stage 5 students, with the flexibility of half-day sessions (mornings or afternoons). Starting ASAP you'll see students through to the end of the academic year, offering revision and exam support come the Spring/Summer term.

Responsibilities of the Politics Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Politics lessons to A-level students.
  • Inspire students to explore political theories, systems, and current affairs critically.
  • Assess, mark, and provide feedback to support students' academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Key Stage 5 Politics curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages debate and learning.

Requirements for the Politics Teacher:

  • A degree in Politics or a related field and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS).
  • Proven experience teaching Politics at Key Stage 5.
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for developing students' understanding of political systems and ideologies.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
