Summary:

You will be responsible for supporting continued rapid growth through sourcing and procuring materials and services across a wide range of industries, from placing online orders with large distributors to small manufacturers needing a personal touch.

You will work as part of, and support the purchasing team to achieve set targets - achieved via targeted researching, selection, and purchasing of products and materials to support wider business goals in line with the procurement strategy.

The role will also involve supplier relationship management to enhance partnerships and achieve the best possible value for all parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, procure, and manage materials and services.
  • Supplier & Contract Negotiation – Obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and secure agreements
  • Cost Control & Analysis – Conduct cost analysis, identify savings opportunities, and contribute to procurement strategies that bring value.
  • Supply Chain Management – Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
  • Process & Compliance – Prepare and raise purchase orders and ensure all materials meet required specifications and quality standards
  • Market Awareness – Stay informed about industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and potential supply chain risks.
  • Wider Procurement Contribution – Support and influence procurement initiatives, working with other departments to align purchasing strategies, drive efficiencies, and implement best practices
  • Continuous Improvement – Collaborate with the Procurement Manager to refine procurement processes and enhance cost-saving opportunities.


Requirements:

  • 3 Years of experience within a buying or procurement role.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-moving business environment
  • Commercially astute with a keen eye for cost control, value engineering, and process improvements
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a dynamic procurement team
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards for quality.
