Production Line Leader

Job Title: Production Line Leader
Reports To: Production Shift Manager

Role Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Production Line Leader to help manage and develop our packing team. You will oversee line performance, machine operation, and works order completion while supporting changeovers and driving continuous improvements. Your goal is to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate the packing line team to meet hourly and daily KPIs.

• Operate machinery and ensure the line runs efficiently, producing high-quality products on time.

• Maintain machines and report any issues to the engineering team promptly.

• Ensure adherence to quality standards, “right first time” principles, and traceability requirements.

• Maintain accurate records for WIP, works orders, downtime, labour, waste, and additional costing information.

• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and jobs are closed live on the line.

• Champion “clean as you go” (CAYG) and internal hygiene standards.

• Monitor PPE use, health and safety compliance, and promptly address hazards, near misses, or unsafe behaviour.

• Effectively manage line resources, skills, and team performance.

• Identify and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

• Support quality control personnel and maintain excellent team communication.
