Job Title: Quality Control (QC) Assistant
Reports To: QC Supervisor


Role Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented QC Assistant to ensure all products packed at ISS meet customer specifications and quality standards. You will monitor shelf-life samples, perform pre-production tests, and ensure all dispatched produce complies with safety, quality, and legal requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-production destructive tests on products.

  • Monitor shelf-life samples daily and record results in the system.

  • Communicate any out-of-spec or non-conforming results promptly to line supervisors and customers to minimize downtime.

  • Conduct required destructive tests on shelf-life samples and report any issues.

  • Ensure all products dispatched meet customer specifications and legal requirements.

  • Work safely and report hazards or near misses.

  • Follow “clean as you go” procedures to maintain a safe and organised work environment.

  • Operate equipment correctly and safely.

  • Contribute to departmental KPIs and overall business objectives.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and housekeeping in line with BRC, HACCP, and PIU audit standards.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and line managers.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Good level of English and numeracy.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of fresh produce preferred.
