We’re seeking a Royal Engineer Corps Mess Events & Hospitality Operations Manager to lead the delivery of prestigious military functions, manage heritage assets, and uphold ceremonial standards for the Royal Engineers Headquarter Officers Mess.

🔹 What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate all Corps events, from high-profile dinners to official ceremonies.
  • Manage bookings, budgets, catering, and protocol from concept to completion.
  • Oversee valuable ceremonial assets, including silverware and artwork.
  • Serve as the key liaison with dignitaries, senior officers, and service providers.
  • Maintain a fine wine collection, monitor stock, and plan future procurement.
  • Support governance by attending Mess committees and advising on standards.

🔹 What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in hospitality, hotel, or event management (military or civilian).
  • Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with formal protocol, ceremonial standards, and high-level hosting.
  • Financial acumen and asset management capability.
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and managing sensitive items or events.

🔹 Desirable:

  • Qualifications in Event Management, Hospitality, or Business Admin.
  • Experience in Defence or Armed Forces environment.
  • Knowledge of fine wine, formal dining etiquette, and traditional military functions.
