Service Advisor
Full Job Description:
Due to current expansion, we are looking for an additional, experienced and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our busy and friendly mechanical and MOT centre.

About the role:
As a key member of the front-of-house team, you will be the main point of contact for customers bringing their vehicles in for servicing, repairs, or MOTs. You will ensure a smooth and professional experience from drop-off to collection, keeping customers informed every step of the way and supporting the workshop team to keep everything running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and check in vehicles for servicing, MOTs, diagnostics and repairs.
- Accurately record customer concerns and vehicle symptoms, and relay to technicians.
- Provide clear estimates and explain work required, gaining customer approval for additional works.
- Keep customers updated throughout the service / repair process.
- Liaise with technicians to manage workshop schedule and ensure timely job completion.
- Handle invoicing, payment, warranty claims and follow-up calls.
- Recommend additional services based on vehicle condition and service history.
Skills Required:
- Previous experience in a Customer Service Advisor role or similar (motor trade experience essential).
- Strong understanding of vehicle servicing, repairs and MOT processes.
- Confident communication skills with a professional and approachable manner.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a busy front desk and multitask effectively.
- IT literate – experience with garage management software is advantageous.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
