About The Role

**Please note that this role is fixed term until 30th July 2025 for 15 hours per week with a pro rated salary of £15,880.13 per annum.**

We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Lead for East Kent Post 16 Education to join the East Kent College Group.

As the Strategic Lead for East Kent Post 16 Education you will be expected to support the work of the East Kent Pathways of all partnerships. You will be working alongside the Deputy CEO. 

Some of your responsibilities will include;

  • researching and reporting on level 2 and below provision gaps
  • collaborating with careers leads and education leaders
  •  liaising with the local authority and P4A Strategic Board as appropriate.
  • keeping up to date with education policy changes
  • supporting the providers in the design of new curriculum and collaborating with them to recruit learners and reduce NEETS

About You

You will have the ability to work with high standards of discretion and be able to liaise with staff members of the organisation at all levels and external stakeholders

You will have excellent negotiating and persuasion skills as well as researching and reporting writing skills. 

You will;

  • have excellent presentation and communication skills
  • be highly competent in all Microsoft packages
  • have good ambassadorial skills with the ability to represent the partnership 
    at all levels
  • have the ability to be creative and innovative 
  • be able to juggle and prioritise multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

It is essential that you have Maths and English GCSE grade 4 or above along with a degree or equivalent qualification. You’ll also have a good understanding of Safeguarding and knowledge of the further education environment.
