Student Support Officer (SSO) - Initially working in Key Stage 3 (Students age 11-13)

37 hours per week, term-time only
TDET Band 7, Point 21 - Point 24
Actual Salary £22,418 - £24,393 per annum
(pro rata to £26,515 - £28,850 for a full-time, all year round post)

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen due to the retirement of one of our long serving Student
Support Officers at Gravesend Grammar School. This position involves working in a school on the
frontline of student pastoral care.

Previous experience in this role is not necessary, however experience in education, social care,
health, armed forces or the police may be beneficial. The overriding factor must be personality and
attributes that will allow the successful candidate to engage effectively with young people, parents
and teachers.
