About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen at East Kent College's Dover College for a Transition Tutor. This is predominantly a teaching role, with small groups of students (3-5). The role will be supporting students to catch up on knowledge missed due to the Coronavirus lockdown, particularly focused on Maths and English and help them reach their potential. 

As a Transition Tutor at East Kent Colleges Group you will plan highly relevant and distinctive small group sessions to meet the needs of each student, in liaison with the Head of Math and English and Deputy Principal to support outstanding progression and support for students. You will need experience of working in an educational setting and a relevant teaching qualification.

Please note that full-time and part-time hours are available. 

About You

You will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative sessions with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.

You will be passionate about making a difference to the future careers of our students, providing academic and pastoral support. Teaching and vocational experience is essential.
