The Kent Messenger is looking to recruit a qualified print journalist to join its dynamic Maidstone team.

You will need to be NCTJ qualified, have at least three-months’ newsroom experience, 100 wpm shorthand and a full driving licence.

We are looking for someone who is confident and outgoing who is brimming with story ideas and can work independently with little guidance from the news desk.

Off-diary exclusives are a must, as is the ability to turn copy around quickly.

As well as the award-winning, agenda-setting Kent Messenger title and KentOnline website, we operate across radio and TV, so appropriate training will be given to those keen on expanding their skill-set. 

It is a lively newsroom in the heart of the town centre, supported by a network of staff and offices across Kent offering great career potential for aspiring journalists.
